Prepare Your Vehicle

To ensure a fast and smooth lease return process, it is important to prepare your vehicle before any inspection. You may also want to assess any vehicle wear and tear to avoid excess wear and tear charges.

Assess Wear and Tear

Address the general condition of the interior and exterior of your vehicle. You may be able to avoid excess charges by repairing any damaged ares of your vehicle before your inspection. You can also schedule a complimentary inspection right here at Mercedes-Benz of Barrington and our service advisors can assist you in determining if any damages are worth repairing before your inspection.

Use The Credit Card Test® to assess your exterior damage. In general, if exterior damage cannot be seen when a standard size credit card is placed over it, you won’t be charged.

Review Pre-Inspection Results

You can then review the Pre-Inspection Report and explore your options of repairing any damage or wear in advance to your lease vehicle return date.

Return Your Vehicle

Contact your one of our client advisors to schedule a day and time to return your vehicle and choose the lease-end option you wish to pursue.

Lease-End Statement

Get your final lease-end statement in the mail, detailing any charges incurred for mileage overages and/or excess wear and use. Charges will be based on the final, third-party vehicle inspection to be conducted at vehicle turn-in.
